DAY 1: Delights of Delhi

First Day in Delhi will cover wonderful landmarks Lotus Temple and Qutub Minar. Lotus Temple is an impressive Baha’i house of worship that was built in 1986. Qutub Minar is a 72 m tall tower built in 1193. The food tour of Delhi will begin at noon from Old Delhi. This top rated tour will introduce you to the Indian food and culture and provide an exciting kick start to the rest of your trip to India. You will be covering 16-18 different Indian food dishes from various Indian cuisines. You will also visit around 10 different food joint in Old, Central and South Delhi. They have been in business since generations and are famous for the quality of food they serve. The oldest food joint that we will be visiting has been in business for around 110 years and the youngest food joint has been in business for around 40 years. DAY 2: The Magic of Cooking

You will be presented with the opportunity to cook some of the things that you sampled the previous day. This will be done in a half day cooking class. This class will be led by a chef and his family. The class will begin with making masala tea (version of tea popular in India), some fried Indian snacks and pakodas that are best enjoyed hot. While the chef enlightens you about details about Indian food, spices, ingredients and the things to expect during the cooking class; you can enjoy hot chai and pakodas. Soon will come the time to don the aprons and begin cooking. Learn to cook various Indian meals such as Pulao, daal (lentils), rotis (flat Indian breads), egg plan raita, stuffed parathas, vegetables and more, dessert like halwa and non-vegetarian food such as butter chicken, chicken tikka, mutton curry, etc. After the hard work you will be rewarded with the meal of all the dishes that you have cooked. A small gift hamper consisting of essential Indian spices will also be provided to you. These spices are used in a typical north-Indian kitchen. Upon conclusion of the cooking class, get ready to visit India Gate, Rajpath and President’s House. This area is picturesque, especially after the dark, and is one of the favorite family picnic spots of the people of Delhi.

DAY 3: The Taj Mahal Taj Mahal Agra travel packages

You will have to get up early to visit Taj Mahal. Taj Mahal is in Agra which is about 3 hours drive and hence we leave the luggage at the hotel. Taj Mahal is one of the Seven Wonders of the World, which according to most, looks more splendid in reality than in pictures. Taj Mahal has many things to offer for your enjoyment such as a nice walk in the gardens, fountains, etc. It is advisable to have an eye for small but amazing details that are easy to be missed without someone telling them. There are hundreds of small yet mind blowing details which make Taj Mahal one of the top attractions in the world. Enjoy your time there and you might also want to get some pictures clicked on those marble benches where many celebrities like Lady Diana have posed for the pictures. You will have to walk out and reach Agra Fort. It is made of red sandstone and has a great historical significance as the capital of Mughal empire. While going through various parts of the fort, you can view the Taj Mahal and Agra town. These views from the fort are really spectacular.

DAY 4: Time with Elephants of the Pink City

Early morning, we will be heading towards Jaipur, the famous Pink City of India. This will require another early wakeup. After hotel check-in and freshening up, we will be visiting Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds). As the name suggests, its front face consists of 953 Jarokhas or small windows decorated with intricate lattice work. It is 5 stories high and is made of red and pink sandstones. After this, it will be time to play with elephants in the top rated Jaipur thing to do, Elefantastic. However, in between it will be time for lunch and you will be served a traditional Rajasthani thali (platter). After lunch , enjoy a rare opportunity to ride, feed and play with these highly trained, friendly gentle giants for hours. Choose an elephant for your ride to the jungle; sit around a bonfire under the open night sky while enjoying folk dance and and song performances presented by local artists.

Visit Jantar Mantar built by Maharaja Jai Singh. It is an incredible astronomical observatory and was built in the early 18th century. After Jantar Mantar, we will visit Jaipur City Palace. The Jaipur City Palace houses the museum. The palace, although being a museum, is still partly a royal residence. After visiting the Palace, we will be visiting Jal Mahal. Jal Mahal is very famous and is constructed on an island in Man Sagar Lake. The places visited can be adjusted according to wishes of the guests.

DAY5: Food tour in Jaipur

Explore Jaipur in a delicious way in a day long food tour. Have a drink of salty lassi, staple drink of Jaipur after a light breakfast. The food tour will enable you to get to know Jaipur better in terms of its sights, smells and flavors. Jaipur is a very easy going city and you can feel it while walking through its streets and pink markets. They offer delicious food that you can sample. This food tour in Jaipur will provide you with the opportunity to sample different types of delicious kachauris, chai prepared over charcoal fire, famous Rajasthani sweets and numerous different snacks. It will end with a big traditional Rajasthani dinner with 5-6 different dishes which you will surely enjoy. Apart from tasting these delicacies, the food tour will also cover sights such as Galta Jee Temple, Amer Fort and a few more based on time availability. Galta Jee has a large resident population of monkeys and langoors. The local markets will be fun to explore as you will see an array of colorful commodities and many people buying and selling them. Day 6- From Jaipur to Osian, Jodhpur
Getting up early in the morning, we  drive to Osian near Jodhpur. On the way, we make a stop at the famous Sambahar Lake 90km from Jaipur. This is India’s largest inland salt water lake. The area of this lake varies between 190 to 230 sq. kms and is source of 9% of India’s total salt production. A lot of migratory birds come here during the winter and make this lake their home making it a great destination for bird watchers. After viewing the birds, we go to visit some salt making workshops and view the process in detail. Later on we get on our way to Osian. Here, we stay in a camp site in the desert for the night. After some rest we will go for a walk in the desert. We enjoy a lot of activities planned for the evening including song and dance performance by local artists. A traditional Rajasthani village dinner will be served around the campfire.

DAY 7: Adventure of the Thar desert
We begin this day in the Thar desert with a morning camel safari ride. During the ride we will enjoy the views of the sand dunes and may also spot some wild life. After the camel safari we visit a nearby tribal village. Here we have a chance to see the life of villagers from up close and live like them for a while. We can also have the same experience by dressing up like them and spending some time with them in their kitchen and along with their animals. A jeep safari ride can also be arranged on request. After that we head back to our cars and begin our journey to Jodhupur city. In Jodhpur city we will first go to visit the Mehrangarh Fort. This fort is situated 122m above the city and boasts of many attractions. Some of them are the Shisha Mahal, Moti Mahal, Phool Mahal and Takh Vilas. In evening, we have an interactive cooking demonstration where we will  learn some tips and secrets of the traditional Indian cooking as well as some popular dishes in Jodhpur region.  Dinner will be served including the dishes you have prepared in the demo.

DAY 8:  End of Tour
This is the last day of our visit, we’ll drive to  tranquil Kaylana Lake and share our experiences of the journey over hot cup of tea or coffee. After the tea party, we’ll leave for Delhi via air or road.

Optional Day 8: To Jodhpur  Culinary tours in India
On the eighth day , we begin this journey by visiting the Rao-Jodha Desert Rock Park. This is an exceptional example of reclaiming waste lands. Up to 2006, this area was overrun by an invasive plant species called the Bawalia (Prosopis juliflora) from Central America. After a lot of hard work, this area has been reclaimed and nearly 100 species of native flora can now be seen here. After this, we go to the Jaswant Thada. This is an architectural marvel made of thin marble sheet. This marble is polished in such a way that it glows in the sunshine. Now we visit the Mandore which was the ancient capital of the Parihar Rajput dynasty. In Mandore we ee the Mandore Fort, the Mandore Gardens and also the temple built between the 13th and 15th century.

Optional Day 8 or Day 9 : Trip to Udaipur – Ranakpur
An early morning wakeup call and we drive to Udaipur. In between we take a stop at Ranakpur Jain Temples. Constructed in between the 14th and 15th Century, these temples have a unique architectural style. You will not see anything like it elsewhere. There are 1444 marble pillars here and each one is carved in a special way with exceptional details. We drive back to Udaipur and reach there in the evening. After we check-in the hotel, we have another interactive session of cooking some more Rajasthani Dishes. These will be served to you for dinner.

Optional Day 8 or Day 9 : Tour to Udaipur via Ranakpur and Kumbhalgarh
.An early morning wakeup call and we drive to Udaipur. In between we take a stop at Ranakpur Jain Temples. Constructed in between the 14th and 15th Century, these temples have a unique architectural style. You will not see anything like it elsewhere. There are 1444 marble pillars here and each one is carved in a special way with exceptional details. Then , we drive to Kumbalgarh ,a dn view the Kumbalgarh fort, which has the second larget wall in Asia, which is 15 feet thick and 38 km long. It is still in very good condition. There are 360 temples inside the complex. After this we drive to Udaipur and reach Udaipur at night

Optional DAY 9 or 10: Udaipur tour
The visit to City Palace Museum is the first thing we do today. The City Palace Museum was built 400 years ago and is an eclectic mix of many beautiful architectural styles. There are also many artifacts that you will admire. After this we go to the Jagdish Temple which is another architectural marvel and has superb craftsmanship. This is a white temple built in 1651 and a lot of people come here from distant places. After that we visit the Fateh Sagar Lake. It is an artificial lake nestled between the Aravali Hills and is very picturesque. We can do some boating in the Fateh Sagar Lake and stop over on the island in the middle to watch the sun set.
